Long Distance Virtual Activities: Part 2

virtual happy hour
Reading Time: 2 minutes

Weekend plans may be looking a little different these days, but that doesn’t mean they have to be monotonous. There are many social activities that can be turned virtual with a little creativity. Along with these tips we provided back in March, we’ve gathered a few more ideas for online fun with friends and family.

Conquer a Puzzle

Completing a puzzle is a satisfying task, made all the more gratifying when it’s done with friends. Therefore, choose a puzzle with a group and have everyone purchase it. Then, host a happy hour where everyone works together to complete it!

Host a Cocktail Making Class

Many people have been honing in on their bartending skills to make fun drinks at home. Now that we’ve developed our skills, it’s time to share them with loved ones virtually. Therefore, host a weekly bartending class where one person in your group shows how to make their favorite drink. Before each class, be sure to send out an email with the ingredients. Then, prepare the drinks and enjoy a happy hour afterward. Cheers!

Start a Book Club

Starting a virtual book club is an easy way to connect with others over a shared interest. Before you get started, think of a theme that everyone agrees on such as sci-fi, nonfiction, or self help books. Then, set realistic due dates for completing. Finally, host a meetup and create a list of questions to keep the conversation flowing.
