Breakfast

First up, breakfast! Brighten your mornings with this decadent orange creamsicle French toast from Nasim Lahbichi. First, you will whisk together milk, orange juice, maple syrup, egg, vanilla, cinnamon, and sea salt. Then, select a stale piece of bread (trust us, it helps) and dip it in the mixture. In a cast iron skillet, cook your toast until it is a little charred and browned. Once they’re ready, make the orange creamsicle glaze and drizzle on top. This dish tastes like sunshine on a plate. Enjoy!

Lunch

Skip the sandwich and spend your lunch break preparing a decadent meal for a midday treat. These ricotta-stuffed squash blossoms from Allison Roman are both creamy and crispy. First, you’re going to mix the ricotta, mozzarella, and chives. Then, pipe the cheese mixture into the squash blossoms and then dip the blossoms in an egg mixture and cover with bread crumbs. Finally, fry in a skillet with oil, drain on a paper towel, and enjoy!

Dinner

making dough | spring recipes

Traverse the globe while you cook a recipe from The Foreign Fork. The creator Alexandria is on a mission to cook a recipe from every country. Hitting every continent, one delicious recipe she tries is boolawnee, also known as fried leek pastries from Afghanistan. First, make the dough with just flour, salt, and cold water. Then, prepare the leek filling with just leeks, chili powder, salt, and vegetable oil. Prepare your pastries by stuffing them and then frying in vegetable oil. For extra flavor, whip up a garlicky yoga sauce for dipping.
