It’s that time of year again! Videos have been submitted and the results are in. The #LPCTellYourStory winners have been selected and we can’t wait to present the amazing organizations they have introduced us to. So without further ado, here are this year’s top three submissions.
Vickery Trading Co.
Rebekah Proctor
Vickery Trading Co. has an important mission—to support refugee women in Dallas by providing vocational training, emotional support, and by employing them to sew clothing for their online store. Rebekah has interned with Vickery Trading Co. and has seen firsthand all of the amazing work they do to uplift women who have fled persecution, war, and adversity. Thank you Rebekah for all that you do!
Defenders of Freedom
Frederick Vonnahme
Defenders of Freedom, located in Coppell, Texas, was founded in 2004 by Donna Cranston, the mother of an Iraq veteran. Donna made it her mission to support veterans returning from deployment, especially those who are suffering from TBI (traumatic brain injury). With a greater need now due to soldiers returning from Afghanistan, Lewisville, Texas teacher, Frederick Vonnahme, shared his passion and support for this organization with the team at LPC. Thank you for sharing this inspiring organization, Frederick!
Bee Club
Jillyan Gillard
Jillyan Gillard has done amazing work as a volunteer with Bee Club. As an organization that is devoted to mentoring teenage girls in Atlanta, it offers an after-school program that gives girls the tools to succeed. Peer-led meetings, workshops, service projects, and events are provided to uplift participants and create a safe space where they can connect and find support. Thank you for all that you do, Jillyan!
We would also like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who submitted a video. Your support, work, and passion for helping others truly makes the world go round. LPC appreciates all that you do! For more information on how to join Lincoln in our mission to give back, check out Lincoln Charities.
