At Lincoln, we believe our furry residents deserve the finer things in life, which is why we’re rounding up a few of our favorite recipes that will satisfy our four-legged friends.

Crockpot Dinner

There are a number of benefits to making your own dog food. It’s cheaper, healthier, and most importantly—extremely delicious for your furry friend. One of our favorite recipes is this crockpot dish from A Fork’s Tale. It calls for ground chicken, kidney beans, carrots, butternut squash, green beans, and rice. Simply throw everything in a crockpot and cook on high for four hours. Slow cooking will enhance the hearty and savory flavors. Bon appétit!

Homemade Dog Treats

Now that dinner is covered, it’s time to focus on dessert, or more typically referred to as a “treat” for our puppy friends. These peanut butter bacon dog treats from Sally’s Baking Addiction are divine and integrate a dog’s favorite ingredients. Simply mix all the ingredients together, roll it out, cut into the desired shape, and bake!

Doggy Popsicles

Summer has arrived and with it comes cravings for sweet and cold treats. While we’re ordering ice cream and popsicles, our dogs are looking for the same cooling relief that can be satisfied with this recipe from The Creek Line House. It calls for mashed banana, pumpkin puree, peanut butter, and milk. Simply mix all of these ingredients together and spoon them into popsicle molds. Once they’re frozen, serve them to your pup as a sweet treat!
