It’s easy to go through an entire pack of paper towels during a deep clean, resulting in unnecessary waste. This time around, invest in a collection of rags kept under the sink. After using a rag, discard it into a kitchen hamper and wash them once you run out. Not only will this decrease waste but it will also save you trips to the store and money spent on rolls.
Cut Sponges in Half
When cleaning dishes, only a small fraction of the surface area of a sponge is used. Therefore, grab a pair of scissors and cut your sponge in half. You’ll notice it still results in an effective clean and you will double your supply.
Clean Metal With Lemon

Cut one in half, sprinkle the exposed middle with salt, and then polish your chrome or stainless steel surfaces with it. Rinse with a soft cloth and you’ll notice an impressive difference and a fresh citrus scent!
Utilize Baking Soda
Baking soda is a miracle ingredient when it comes to cleaning, especially for carpets. Sprinkle some over carpeting, let it sit for a minute, and then vacuum. The baking soda will trap odors, resulting in a refreshed carpet free of any unpleasant smells.
